(hinged in the middle) marbled edges. with on spine label.: A: Ch. Muret Canal Interocéanique ( label) and B: Collections Muret. Médaille d'or à l'exposition d'Anvers. (label.) In the cover of the box there is mounted a small worldmap, showing the importance of the Interoceanic Canal with shiiping routes all over the world. 12 x 10 cm. Labels slightly damaged, otherwise very good. The plaster clast in is in color. Mountains in green. Sea in blue and cities / villages in red. (handpainted) and partly mounted on a lithographed map of the surroundings. In all in very good condition. Added a lithographed map of the same region Carte du Canal de Panama. d'après les derniers travaux de la commission d'Etudes approuvés par l'Académie des Sciences par Ch. Muret. Gold medal winner with this plan for the Interoceanic canal at the world exhibition in Antwerp in 1885 This plaster cast was issued by Ch. Delagrave at Paris. ( Collections Muret).
