Some spotting. 18th-century full calf, spine richly gilt with red morocco label, covers with gilt boards, blue marbled boards, slight crack on front joint. Exlibris. Fine copy. Schweiger II, p. 723. Graesse V, 238-9. Dibdin II, p. 276: "Dr Harwood says that the Amsterdam edition of 1669 is one of the most beautiful and correct of the octavo Variorum classics. Antonius paticularly commends the edition of 1669 for its elegance and correctness." The fine engraved title by Rom. de Hooghe. The second part printed in 1670 with “fragmentum” is not present here.
