Charles Ogier (1595-1654) was secretary to Claude de Mesmes, Count d’Avaux (1595-1650), sent by Richelieu in 1634 as ambassador to Denmark, Sweden and Poland. This is a journal of this expedition. The editor François Ogier was Charles’ brother, priest and known as a latin poet. The travels in Sweden and the visit in Stockholm are described on pp. 124-158. Pages 259-450 contain ”Iter Polonicum sive Borussicum”.
