Portrait from photos and Extremities rubbed, rear hinge starting with evidence of newspaper clipping removed from front free endpaper. Arctic Bibl. 3962 - "Of eighteen men, who in 1897 tried to reach Dawson over the glaciers of Disenchantment Bay region, only four survived. This is the story of their hardships on the glaciers and during a winter in the Alaska wilderness".
