Octavo in original gilt lettered and decorated bevelled edge grey cloth, gilt top edge and illustrated blue endpapers with frontispiece and the Rubaiyat illustrated & decorated in black and white by Elihu Vedder, transcription by Edward Fitzgerald and biographical sketches of Omar Khayyam and Edward Fitzgerald. A few pages cut else with some minor wear ad fraying to corners and top and bottom of spine. A previous owner's name on first blank with a post card on verso of front free endpaper still a nice copy, largely uncut.
