Fisher, M.F.K.

AN ALPHABET FOR GOURMETS.

1949 1st Illustrated with drawings by Marvin Bileck. New York: The Viking Press, 1949. First edition. This gastronomic abecedary ranks among the most entertaining examples of Fisher's incisive wit and decorous sensibility. We recommend a very close reading of the second entry, "B is for Bachelors." Just a hint of edgewear to the boards. Jacket moderately edgeworn, with a few small chips to the top edge, some faint soiling to the rear panel, and a bit of sunning along the spine; otherwise a very good copy.
