The author received the special honourary gold medal by Societe d' Acclimation de France in 1926, in recognition of his contribution to the ornithological field. He was also decorated by the Japanese Government with the Second, Third and Fourth Order of Merit, with an Order of the Sacred Treasure, and the Order of the Double-rays Rising Sun. This book is considered the most important work on Japanese pheasants and quails. Oversized - extra shipping.
