New York MacMillian Co. 1912, 232 p. 20 cm. Hardcover. Green pictorial cloth. Cracked at signature,spine a bit discoloured, book plate with name scuffed off on inside front board. In letter to friend the author talks about his lack of popularity with certain segments of Hawaiian society. He mentions that he has been "disliked" by the "commercial" interests because of his writings about leprosy instead of writing about Hawaii's climate and resources. Sisson p. 62.
