This work was also partially sponsored by the Canadian Coast Guard, and gives the full test results of a study of the impact of an instrumented projectile onto freshwater ice. Since 1991, the information gained in this study has been translated into climate change research, lending insight to explorations into the strains that can be placed upon different ice formations.
