A very fine and crisp copy (uncut) with foxed and lightly worn printed dust jacket. Davies was missionary to the South Sea Islands. C.N. Newbury, editor, includes an epilogue which continues the history to 1860. Included is supplementary papers from the correspondence of the missionaries.
