San Francisco California Historical Society 1948, First edition. ix, 150pp. Owner's inscription, bookplate, spine badly faded. A very good copy. One of the few diaries ever kept by an emigrant traveling the Hastings Cut-off (the shortcut taken earlier by the Donner Party). This detailed account has allowed scholars to establish the route of the Cut-off.
