New York Alfred A. Knopf 1944, First American edition. Translated from the German by H.T. Lowe-Porter. Black cloth with gilt-lettered spine. Previous owner's bookplate to innner front cover. With original dust jacket (thus rare!). Jacket shows light wear with spine very slightly darkened and slight chipping. Small damage from removed sticker to jacket spine as well. Otherwise, a fine copy.
