[New York]: Published for the Benefit of the Author, 1860. First edition. Sabin 50901. 12mo, original blind-stamped blue cloth, gilt lettering. Frontis portrait. ¶ The autobiography of a boy who, left homeless, supported himself by peddling newspapers, sweeping sidewalks and running errands. He wrote his story to appeal for sympathy for homeless boys in New York City and to raise money for his own education. At the end are several testimonials to Morrow, including one by Henry Ward Beecher. Fine copy.
