Inscribed by the author on the half-title. NCBEL II, 2025. 2 vols, 8vo, original blue cloth, printed paper labels, untrimmed. ¶ Graham (1724-1779) was a town-crier and pamphlet author in Glasgow and enjoyed an immense popularity. He is best remembered for his lengthy saga of the Jacobite rebellion, A Full, Particular and True Account of the Rebellion in the Years 1745-6, published in 1746 and considered “historically useful as the undoubted testimony of an eye-witness” (DNB). Owing to the ephemeral nature of his publications, most of his early pamphlets and chapbooks are unattainable today. This collection includes a lengthy critical biographical sketch by the editor Mac Gregor. Cloth and labels a little worn; very good copy.
