BAL 12136, state B of the publisher's catalogue. 8vo, original blind-stamped blue-green cloth, gilt lettering, t.e.g. Engraved title. 22 page publisher’s catalogue dated November 1863. ¶ Longfellow’s most enduring work, a narrative poem whose characters are based on his friends and their times together at the Wayside Inn. It includes his most memorable poem, “Paul Revere’s Ride” - more commonly known as “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere.” Small chip from the foot of the spine; tissue guard before the engraved title slightly foxed; fine, bright copy.
