Block, page 129; Summers, A Gothic Bibliography,page 296. 12mo, contemporary calf (a bit rubbed and worn), raised bands, gilt rules. ¶ The highly popular sequel to Johnson’s Rasselas, in which Miss Knight attempts to show the brighter side to life: the prince and princess marry a brother and sister and finally find happiness. This was Cornelia Knight’s first published work. Contemporary ink signature on the title page. Very good copy.
