Exhbition and reference work commemorating one hundred years since the death of Manuel Gutiérrez Nájera. Includes books, magazines, lithography, photography that mark the work and times of the Mexican poet and journalist who played a profound role in modernism. Numerous illustrations and historical events and people in Mexico City during the dictatorship of president Porfirio Díaz in México. Divided into three sections: "Marco Histórico Cultural" relates the technological and urban changes in the last quarter of the 19th century and the modernization of Mexico. "Le Tout Mexique" presents the main figures in Mexico at the time of the Porfiriato. The last part, "Angel o Demonio" portrays the women of the period , manily those that are most representative of Porfiiana society, such as "Doña Carmelita" the prototype of virture, "La Berjarno", the murderer. The women in Nájera's work always played a significant role.
