Contributions for selling these prints could be obtained for the maintenance of their worship and they can be considered religious 19th century "publicity" -social promotion- of who sponsored them, normally superintendents of the brotherhood, whose name appeared in the print, in this case the Cofradía del Santísimo Sacramento y Soledad de Nuestra Señora.
