This is one of several late 19th-century re-issues. 8vo. 3 volumes: cv, 408; vii, 495; vii, 540 pp. Illustrated, portrait, 103 hand-finished chromolithographic plates. Original green quarter leather (joints rubbed) and cloth (rubbed, corners bumped), spine gilt with title and illustration of a perching eagle; several hinges, repaired and the volume sa little shaken, but still very good, the plates bright and clean.
