Though instutional holdings show the Chickasaw edition seems scarcer than these numbers would indicate. Rarely are they found together, since owners generally had little use for the books in both languages. OCLC lists: HVL, MLL, NDL, PUL. and OKU having complete sets. For the Chickasaw edition in addition: CAX, BOL, TUL, ONA. Hargrett adds Library of Congress, University of Michigan Law Library, Assoc. of the Bar city of New York, and Oklahoma State Library 8vo. 549, x pp. Three-quarter leather binding, gilt-stamped red leather spine label, black boards. Joints beginning to split. Accompanied by the Chickasaw translation: CHIKASHA OKLA I NAN VLHPISA MICHA YONAITET ESTETS NAN ITTIM APEHINSA TOK 132, 1837, 1855 MICHA 1866 KVT AFOYUKKA HOKE. 8vo. 531, xi pp. Three-quarter leather binding, gilt-stamped red leather spine label, black boards. Joints starting. Two inch piece missing from spine end. Inscription: Compliments of/ F.O. Smith/ Member of House/ Representatives of last/ Chickasaw Legislation.
