Carter & Wilkinson, Providence [RI]: 1798. 8vo.; 650pp. [ie: 646pp., pages 641-46 misnumbered]. Full leather (rubbed & worn); gilt stamped red morocco spine label (rubbed). Contemporary ownership inscription on front endpaper; stylized signature on recto of front endpaper. Pencil note on rear endpaper states that this owner (one William Davis), was a soldier in the Rev[olutionary] War and died in 1829. Some foxing and darkening to text block, but a readable copy. Very good.
