Second edition (originally issued by Grant & Griffith in 1847). 12mo. 143 pp. Illustrated, 4 hand-colored plates; 16-page publisher's catalogue of works "principally for the young." Somewhat later polished tan calf, gilt, gilt rules along edges of both boards, spine richly gilt with ornaments, leather spine label, a.e.g., by Rivière; with the morocco book label of Frank Lord. This edition unrecorded on OCLC (which locates six copies of the Grant & Griffith edition). Some rubbing to extremities, but a fine copy.
