(11) leaves printed in red, interleaved with glassine. 9 black & white illustrations and 9 5 X 7 inch fabric samples, all mounted; map, printed in black on white cloth, laid down on the inside rear board. Written by the head of and issued by the "Batik Research Centre." Introduction in English, text in Indonesian and English accompanying each sample, tracing the batik process step-by-step to a finished design in rich chestnut brown, deep blue, black, and white. Black cloth boards, tied, batik sample laid down on the upper cover. OCLC lists only one copy (Evanston, IL, Public Library). Lightly rubbed, glassines creased, very good.
