A monument intended to honor those massacred at Quiberon after the failed invasion by French royalist exiles in 1795. Plates: (1) The Duke of Angoulême praying in front of the ossuary of Quiberon, according to a drawing by Fragonard; (2) an exterior view of the chapel intended to accommodate the mausoleum; (3) an exterior view of the chapel intended as atonement for the Martyrs; (4) an inside view of the chapel; (5) an elevation of the main mausoleum; and (6) a side view of the mausoleum. Text leaves and plates laid into original printed gray wrappers (some wear at extremities), as issued; plates foxed in margins, two plates with old tideline at corner, but a very good copy and quite scarce in original state.
