NY New Directions 1978, First Edition Original Wraps Signed by Author Very Good first edition - similtaneous wraps issue - this copy the virtual dedication copy - Kenneth Rexroth's copy inscribed by the poet to him and fellow translator Carol Tinker upon publication in Toyko - July 9th, 1978 - inscribed in English & Japanese to them both "my dearest great poet and my dearest sister poet " - author was born in Vancouver, Canada in 1931 & moved to Japan in 1938, joining the tiny Japanese Beat Generation in the 1950's - Rexroth's copy a bit used but still vg .
