Unique early-20th century Japanese post-card album.
Album containing approx. 60 photographic post-cards dating from around 1910, most delicately colored, showing scenes from Nagasaki, Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Aki, and elsewhere, with numerous images of temples, monuments, domestic architecture, landscapes, geishas, children and other genre scenes, all mounted on delicately illustrated silk-like paper, housed in a contemporary lacquer album with original painted end-papers showing nature scenes. Many of the postcards with cancelled stamps on versos, affecting images. Oblong large 4to. N.p., n.d. (circa 1910).
