Milwaukee Casanova Press 1932 First edition, limited to 525 copies. A collection of Faulkner's youthful poems and three articles, including "On Criticism" (1925), and his first published work, "L'Apres-midi d'un Faun" (1919). On the back cover is Hemingway's four-line poem, "Ultimately," which was printed alongside a poem of Faulkner's in the New Orleans "Double Dealer." With a preface by the designer, Paul Romaine. The first publication of the press. A fine copy in textured stiff wrappers printed in black and red. With maroon slipcase, worn at extremities, panels slightly faded, and with thumb-pull slip laid in, which has the copy number printed in red. (Petersen A11.1b; Hanneman B11).
