NY G.P. Putnam's Sons (1971) First edition. During his yoga practice, neurobiologist David Bolt disovers it is possible to chemically induce ESP. Holt creates a "third ear" with which he can listen to the minds of others. To his dismay, he encounters hypocrisy, deceit, and lies. The international "humanitarians" who would like to collaborate with him in hopes of establishing world harmony are, in reality, seeking mental dictatorship. A very fine copy in a fine d/w with some wrinkling and a small closed tear to top of spine. Together with the galleys, which show moderate wear to wrappers, as usual and some loss to the label.
