Los Angeles The Time-Binder Press 1946 Stapled quarto sized sheets. (i) (15) pp. First edition. Reprints the text of van Vogt's speech, which he delivered as the guest of honor at the 1946 Pacificon. The speech was delivered on July 4, and presumably published shortly thereafter by E. Everett Evans's Timebinder Press -- a point which has led to the assertion that this is actually van Vogt's first separate publication, as Slan was published late in 1946, according to the Arkham House bibliography. Minute tear to outer front margin, light uniform browning to paper, else an extraordinarily fine copy of a fragile, ephemeral item.
