NY Gnome Press (1952) First edition, second issue, in second issue binding and d/w; together with afirst edition, second issue with a Doubleday binding and d/w. The first volume is near fine with the text block browned as usual, in boards with some wear to bottom edge, and a near fine price clipped d/w with slight wear to edges, one small chip to top edge and two closed tears. The second volume is fine with the text block slightly browned, bound in red cloth backed grey cloth, stamped in silver on the spine; the d/w is near fine with some soiling to spine and edges. The second volume is not recorded by Currey and would be the fourth binding and the third d/w. (Barron 3-12).
