(Oxford) Plough Press 1983 Tall octavo. 48 pp. From an edition of 100 copies, this is one of forty-five deluxe copies containing an engraved brass binder's tool. Illustrated with twenty-seven text illustrations printed in blue. Wakeman's text on the materials and technique used in nineteenth century bindings is accompanied by a folder containing samples of cloth patterns and leathers, and a metal type slug. The book and the folder are very fine in canvas-covered boards with paper spine labels, housed in a slipcase. T.e.g. Prospectus laid in.
