The third volume contains an introduction by E.H. Alton, an essay on the ornamentation of the manuscript by Peter Meyer, and a collation of the text with the Vulgate by G.O. Simms. A mint copy of the finest facsimile of the Book of Kells. The first two volumes are bound in the original gilt-stamped full vellum with plain dust wrappers and mailing boxes; the third volume is bound in the original vellum-backed blue boards with plain dust wrapper and slipcase.
