Although the title page declares this "A Play in Four Acts", Stein's text is representative of her repetitive stream-of-consciousness style. This style, characteristic of her early work, endeared her to the avant-garde, but also made her writing inaccessible to the general reader. An extremely fine copy in printed wrappers and glassine dust wrapper, housed in a cloth chemise and slipcase. (Wilson A11.a)
