New York Longmans, Green & Co. (1901-1902) Eight quarto volumes. Printed at the Chiswick Press on handmade paper using the Golden type that Morris designed for the Kelmscott Press. Although not stated in the volumes, the prospectus (not present) indicates that the edition would be limited to 315 copies, of which 300 would be for sale. The prospectus also describes the volumes as being "uniform in size" with other large quarto issues of the Kelmscott Press. An unusual complete set of this edition, which collects a significant portion of Morris' work, including his fiction, translations, and scholarship. In original gray boards with blue linen backing. Original glassine jacket on one volume; most others with supplied paper jackets. All spine labels intact. Some covers showing discoloration and some toning to endpapers, else a nearly fine set.
