[WYETH, ANDREW].
Andrew Wyeth.
Boston Houghton Mifflin Company 1968 Oblong folio. (viii), 174 pp. First edition. Includes almost the entire body of Wyeth's major work to that point, reproduced under the artist's supervision from photographs of the actual paintings. Wyeth's work is usually considered to be realistic, though his choice of subject matter and the intensity of emotion expressed in the paintings results in a body of work that sometimes borders on the surreal. Text by Richard Meryman, a staff writer for Life magazine, and with typography designed by Rudolph Ruzicka. In cream and red cloth boards. Dust jacket torn in two places, otherwise a fine copy.
