STEINBECK, JOHN.

Nothing So Monstrous.

New York The Pynson Printers 1936 First separate edition, and first edition of the epilogue. One of370 copies. Signed by Elmer Adler, owner of the press, for presentation to Howard Eric. In original marbled boards with orange buckram spine printed in black and ornamented with a leaf design, which also appears either side of folio numbers. Includes original glassine dust jacket, which is slightly chipped at extremities. A very fine copy overall, housed in tan cloth chemise and leather-backed slipcase with gilt stamping on spine.
