(Boston c. 1988) Square 16mo. (6) pp., which can be opened up like a panorama. Signed by Tom Costello. Manuscript calligraphed by Costello in graduated shades of blue with each of the four letters in the title presented on a page in large Roman letters. The last letter is embellished with a superb intertwining rose stem. The letters stand for "Senatus Populusque Romanum," the initials often found at the base of classical Roman monuments and also used as a frequent exercise of stone carvers. Bound concertina-style in glittery boards of blue handmade paper. Very fine.
