A color facsimile of the manuscript Vat. lat. 11254, the Masses of St. Francis of Assisi and of St. Anne, the original of which dates from the early sixteenth century and is the smallest manuscript in the Vatican library. Bound in full red morocco with gilt tooled diamond pattern to both boards. Housed in a silver-colored metal case in the shape of the book and with matching gilt diamond pattern on both sides. The case is equipped with a loop and chain and may be worn as a necklace. Together with a 24mo. book of commentary on the facsimilie, by Robert Moynihan. This is bound in full red cloth, gilt lettered on the front cover. Laid in with the facsimilie and book of commentary is a limitation card for the edition, printed in red, blue, and black. With original cardboard packaging including felt-lined tray insert. All items very fine. (1 1/12 by 1 1/8; 39x29mm.; metal case 1 3/4 by 1 3/8; 44x35mm.).
