No copies of this book were for sale: fifty copies were sent to Bridges, and the remainder were distributed by Hornby. Initial letters printed in blue in this copy. The publication of this work -- the last to be produced before the Press was shuttered for the duration of the war -- marked "the one and only event of literary significance in the history of the Ashendene Press," according to Colin Franklin, who amply chronicles the epistolary evidence in his book on the Press. The eleven poems in this volume are printed for the first time, and mark the first time Bridges published with a fine press other than the Daniel Press.
