New York The Macmillan Company 1936 First edition, second issue. Mitchell's classic on love and war, bound in gray cloth, lettered and ornamented in blue on the front cover and spine. Spine toned, boards lesser so. Minor foxing to front cover, two small closed tears in cloth at spine head, minor general shelf wear. The text block is well preserved and unmarked. About fine thus, lacking dust jacket.
