Maastricht A. A. M. Stols 1933 A collection of all three published editions illustrated with engravings by Buckland Wright. Comprising: one first edition, with the engravings done in white line. One of 50 copies, of which only a few were sold. Together with the second edition, in which the engravings have been reworked to result in silhouette images. One of 40 copies. Together with the third edition, marking a return to the white line illustrations, which are printed on tissue and tipped in. One of only 10 copies. All published copies are bound in blue wrappers with a printed label on the front cover. Some slight fading to edges and very faint foxing present on the label and first few pages of the third edition, else very fine. In addition, the following pieces from the printer are also included: 1) a complete first edition without the images; 2) a proof in small format of the first edition with cream covers; 3) two incomplete proofs: one on Japon and the other on proofing paper. All in very fine condition. Housed in a dropback box, with stamped images from the book on front and box. An extraordinarily rare opportunity to own all three editions as a unit.
