Art Deco chrome ice bucket on stand.

Waterbury, CT Chase Brass & Copper Co c. 1930 32 1/2 inches tall; bucket is 8 1/2 inches in diameter. With embossed design to bucket front by Kent depicting a Bacchic figure holding grapes, flanked by wild goats. The upper circumference of the bucket features a series of grooves resembling machined threads, the artistic effect of which is heightened by a four-inch section in the front and rear that are staggered. The threads are echoed in the circular side grab-handles and their screwed-in retainers. The bucket sits atop a tripod-style stand with two brass-colored rings around the feet. Bucket shows a few minor dents toward the bottom where it meets the stand, slight scratching and oxidation to chromed surface and several hidden nuts that fasten the feet together. Otherwise, a lovely example of Kent's decorative work, survivals of which are scarce.
