MOORE, MERRILL
THE NOISE THAT TIME MAKES
1929 MOORE, Merrill. THE NOISE THAT TIME MAKES. With A Foreword by John Crowe Ransom. NY: Harcourt, Brace, [1929]. 8vo., cloth & patterned boards, lacks dust jacket. First Edition. Moore's first book. A nice association copy, inscribed by Moore to Louis D. Rubin Jr. on the front endpaper: "Homage to Louis D. Rubin Jr., co-eternal colleague with much esteem. Merrill Moore. Richmond, 13 April, 1956." Rubin, a professor of English at University of North Carolina, wrote several books on Southern literature and edited "A Bibliographical Guide To The Study Of Southern Literature" (Louisiana State University Press, 1969). An interesting presentation from one of the most prolific members of the Fugitive group. With Rubin's autograph signature on the front pastedown. Good (small nick endpaper).
