1929 HOYT, Henry F. A FRONTIER DOCTOR. Introduction by Frank B. Kellogg. Illustrated. Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1929. 8vo., tan cloth, stamped in green. First Edition. Inscribed by Hoyt on the front endpaper: "Sincerely yours, Henry F. Hoyt. November, 1929." [Howes H733]. The autobiography of a frontier doctor which has all the makings for a bunch of good yarns: hangings, shootings, Indians, and searching for gold. Hoyt was a member of the Black Hills Expedition with General Custer in 1873 and he was also a friend of Billy The Kid. He also gives some new material on Jesse James. Very Good (very minor wear).
