1878 [HARPER'S WEEKLY]. DOWN BY THE SEA- SKETCHES AT OCEAN GROVE, ASBURY PARK, AND OTHER SEASIDE RESORTS. A scarce double-page illustration of sketches by various artists and from photographs by Pach, from the August 31, 1878 issue of "Harper's Weekly." Two large panels depict a scene along the eastern edge of Wesley Lake- showing both southern Asbury Park and northern Ocean Grove- with the other panel showing a religious gathering on the beach in Ocean Grove. Seven smaller panels depict various scenes in Ocean Grove and Asbury Park, including a small cottage in Atlanticville.
