1951 WARD, Arch. THE NEW CHICAGO WHITE SOX. Chicago: Henry Regnery Co., 1951. Small quarto, printedwraps, illustrated. First Edition. Signed by Ward on the title page. A nice, pictorial book about the famous Chicago White Sox and scarce to find signed by the author. Ward was a writer and sports editor with "The Chicago Tribune" and conceived of the major league baseball's All-Star annual game. At Notre Dame, he was also Knute Rockne's first publicity man. Very good contents (some edgewear & rubbing covers).
