Hardcover Issue No. 3, July 1872, features an article on the military academy at West Point, with many illustrations, including "West Point and Cold Spring, from Garrison's Landing", "The Interior of Prof. Weir's Studio, "The Academic Board" (with a portrait of Prof. Robert Weir), "Garrison's", and "Crow Nest, Looking South". 8vo, containing each monthly issue from May through October, 1872, b&w illus throughout. One half dark brown leather with brown cloth boards. Gilt title on spine with raised bands. Covers are quite rubbed; rear cover is detached and front hinge is starting. Internally, two signatures, one dated 1873 and the second 1916 inside front cover. Pages lightly toned, o/w very good.
