Lecointe was scientific director of the Royal Belgian Observatory & 2nd in command of the expedition. There are several interesting variations between this & the 1910 edition not listed in Spence. Includes an appendix that does not appear in 2nd ed which includes the members of the Belgica Commission 2pp; and a very useful bibliographical reference "Liste des Rapports Scientifiques...vol 1-X with authors & titles of each contribution.
