The map covers an area from the Cape of Good Hope to Japan. Parts of the West and South coasts of Australia and Carpentaria that is Australia as it was known prior to Tasman's discoveries. Text on verso in Latin. Tooley p. 101 #747, pl. 125. Beautiful cartouche in central lower margin . 55.5x43 cms. Sml. restoration lower center fold, archivally laid on tissue.
