Doorly, Gerald S.

The Voyages of the 'Morning'.

Doorly, Gerald S. The Voyages of the 'Morning'. London, Smith Elder, 1916. 224 pp, plates & fold. map at back. Orig. pic. stamped cloth, a little patchy light fading on boards and spine, upper board little flecked. 1.2" portion of spine missing at tail, expertly repaired. Very, very tiny nick at the lower edge of three leaves and minimal damage to lower corners of 11 leaves, not affecting text in any way. Endpapers and verso map browned although the map itself is very clean and sound. Oddly, not in Spence. The 'Morning" was a relief ship to Scott's 'Discovery' 1902-04. A difficult item to obtain, in any condition.
